Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha…!!!!!

That Van Halen reunion tour…? According to RollingStone.com, it’s already over before it even began.

Why…? Well, no one seems to know for sure yet – or if they do, they ain’t talking – but here are our best guesses:

1) David Lee Roth and Eddie Valen Halen got into one of their inevitable arguments, it led to hair-pulling, and when Eddie pulled off DLR’s toupee, Diamond Dave started crying and left.

2) David Lee Roth’s vocals are nowhere near what they were in the band’s heyday, and Eddie couldn’t kid himself anymore that they were gonna suddenly get better.

3) Gary Cherone’s schedule, originally packed, suddenly opened up, allowing the classic Van Halen III line-up to return to achieve the greatness that was so cruelly denied to them in the past.

Come on, #3…!!!

Quick, before the lawyers step in…

…check out the 350+ concerts streaming at WolfgangsVault.com, part of a huge archive left by the late promoter Bill Graham, who recorded just about every concert he produced in San Francisco (Fillmore West), New York (Fillmore East) and lots of other venues. I’m currently listening to “Bye Bye Love” from a Cars’ 1978 show at the NY Palladium, and I have to say, the quality is pretty damn good.

Milli Vanilli to return

Pop music’s most infamous duo are slated to return as the subject of a biopic, with Jeff Nathanson at the helm. Nathanson, if you recall, wrote Catch Me if You Can, which really didn’t do too well at all. But perhaps this will be a new leaf overturned. After all, how many movies will star phonies as phonies? That is, assuming this bipic will actuallyhave stars. God knows it’s going to need something if it doesn’t want to go straight to Lifetime.
