The hardest Simpson to button

If you missed Sunday’s episode of “The Simpsons,” you absolutely have to see this clip. Bart turns out to be a natural at the drums, and this clip, to the tune of the White Stripes’ “The Hardest Button to Button,” is one of the funniest things “The Simpsons” have done in years. Check it out now, before Fox orders YouTube to take it down.

I am shocked, SHOCKED, that I beat the Spotlight Kid to this one.

The video pretty much speaks for itself, but I would like to comment on a couple of things.
1) Kevin runs out of things to say at the three-minute mark, so they drag that lame-ass instrumental track for another 43 seconds, in order to give it a radio-friendly length. Don’t kid yourself, people; this song’s never getting played on the radio.
2) Is there anything funnier than someone bragging about a tax bracket that he only reached through marriage?

When pop stars act like rock stars

Keane just had to scrap their US tour because singer Tom Chaplin has entered rehab. They cancelled a few recent dates citing Chaplin’s “exhaustion,” but surely they knew that LiLo has officially, um, exhausted that word as a viable excuse.

All kidding aside, I love Under the Iron Sea, and hope that Tom gets himself sorted out. Are there any rock stars left that can party without going full-bore gonzo crazy? God, imagine if someone had shown him crystal meth…
