The Spice Girls reunion rumors are true….there will be some sort of ticket lottery, and so far over a million fans have signed up for that. The tour kicks on December 7 in Los Angeles.

Australian rock band Silverchair had to cancel four of their US tour dates due to a throat infection caught by singer Daniel Johns. The infection caused laryngitis, making singing impossible. Here are the rescheduled dates:

Platinum country recording artist Taylor Swift will perform on Saturday, July 14 at the Chicagoland Speedway, during the break between the two NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series practice sessions, as race teams make final preparations for Sunday’s USG Sheetrock 400 race. Following her acoustic performance, Swift is scheduled to sign autographs for fans in attendance.

Canadian songstresses Tegan and Sara are quite prolific, and are about to release their fifth studio album, The Con, on July 24. The twin sisters enlisted the help of folks like Death Cab’s Christopher Walla and Weezer’s Matt Sharp for the album, and they will head out on their summer tour starting tomorrow. Hanson last week played a “secret” gig under the name “Sacred Fools” in Hollywood’s Hotel Café. There were 200 people there. And all of this begs the question, if the band played a gig as HANSON, would that many people show up? Either way, the boys had fun, and played material from their forthcoming album, The Walk which is due out on July 24.

The Smashing Pumpkins are releasing their long-awaited album, Zeitgeist, next Tuesday, and are in the midst of a nine-show residency in Asheville, North Carolina. The band has just announced its North American fall tour that kicks off September 8 in Montreal and runs through November 5 in Nashville. Here is a complete list of confirmed dates:

Hip Hop group Bone Thugs N Harmony had to postpone their summer tour due to “circumstances beyond their control,” but plan to replace the summer tour with a fall run. In addition, a European tour scheduled for October will also be postponed. The group’s latest album, Strength and Loyalty, reached #2 on the Billboard Top 200 and #1 on the Billboard Rap Chart.

Irish singer/songwriter Fionn Regan is heading to the States for a short tour in support of his debut, The End Of History on Lost Highway Records, that streets July 10. Here are the dates:

Tickets go on sale today for this year’s Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans October 26, 27 and 28 at City Park. Fall Out Boy, Plain White T’s, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Kings of Leon and more will join co-headliners Smashing Pumpkins and Rage Against the Machine for the three-day event.

Bon Jovi’s new Lost Highway album has been practically an overnight success, but so far the band only has plans to play in its home state this year. The band will be performing at Newark’s The Rock Well from October 25 through November 10. For more information, please visit www.bonjoviaeglive.com.

Morrissey had to cancel tour dates due to a throat infection in Philadelphia and Northampton, Massachusetts, but the former Smiths lead singer will resume his tour tomorrow night in New York City.

The ESPY Awards, which will air July 15 on ESPN, intends to feature musical performances by Common, Macy Gray and Rocco Deluca. The show will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and LeBron James.

Rumors are rampant about a Spice Girls reunion, and E! Online Planet Gossip is now reporting that a reunion could turn into a six-month run in Las Vegas. Stay tuned….

Christina Aguilera’s tour kicked off this past week in Japan, and she will continue touring in support of the Back To Basics album throughout Korea, China, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, with the tour wrapping up August 3.

The annual Street Scene Festival is set for September 22 in San Diego, and the lineup includes many buzz bands such as The Killers, Panic! At the Disco, Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Social Distortion, and The Academy Is. Tickets go on sale tomorrow.

Kelly Clarkson’s tour was postponed last week, the same week she fired her manager. While no replacement dates have been scheduled, word is that American Idol has offered Clarkson a guest spot on their summer tour featuring Season 6 finalists.
