After a lengthy hiatus — though is it really a hiatus if no one notices that you’ve been gone? — I have returned with an album cover quiz that will either be considered the easiest quiz in the world or the kind of torture that only exists in a “Hostel” movie. Send the answers to davidm [at] bullz-eye.com, where ten lucky winners will receive a mystery .mp3 file from me. Could be a kickass song, or it could be Jason Statham swearing for a minute straight. It all depends on what kind of mood I’m in.

Okay, so that first stab at the album cover quiz, well, let’s not mince words, it was fookin’ impossible, I admit it. This time, I tried to assemble a more focused list, so if you know one, odds are you know the rest. But there’s a catch: each of these albums has something in common with the others. So along with the names of the artists and album titles, you also need to list the one thing that they have in common. Let’s have some fun, shall we? I’ve taken ten album covers from various periods in rock history and removed the name of the artist and the album title. The first person to write me with the name of the artist and album for all ten covers will receive a CD from my orphans pile, which boasts artists like Erasure, Gary Numan, Scott Sta(m)pp, Stereo Fuse, Jenny Watson and Bloc Party.
