To date, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have only really made a couple of videos that mattered — everyone seems to love “Give It Away,” but I much prefer the Mark Romanek-directed “Can’t Stop” — and they just made one more. Check out this clip for “Dani California,” the single from their new live album Stadium Arcadium, where they dress up as famous bands from different eras. At the risk of giving anything away, we won’t reveal which bands, but I think the hair metal one was spot on.
You think he’s big now? Wait until the album comes out next Tuesday.
Daniel Powter and his eponymous debut have been beating artists like red-headed stepchildren on iTunes, and now get this: His single “Bad Day,” which is still only available via download, just hit Number One. And get this: there are some songs on the album that are even better. (My favorite is “Suspect,” which sounds like AC/DC’s Brian Johnson doing a dance track.)
