Former Roxy Music front man Bryan Ferry has just released an album of Bob Dylan covers called Dylanesque and European tour dates began yesterday. No US tour has been announced yet.
Due to Red Hot Chili Pepper Anthony Kiedis’ bout with bronchial pneumonia, the band had to postpone its Japanese tour dates until this fall. I don’t know about you, but my bronchial tubes hurt just thinking about that.
Former Soundgarden front man Chris Cornell is set to release his new album, Carry On, June 5, with mega-producer Steve Lillywhite at the helm for its recording. Cornell plans to perform new songs on his upcoming tour, but also favorites from his days with Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, and Audioslave. He will hit the road beginning April 6 in Las Vegas and all dates are below:

Another artist that is breaking out on MTVu/Fuse/AOL Breakers band, Secondhand Serenade, is set to hit the road in support of its debut CD, Awake. In the vein of Dashboard Confessional, Secondhand Serenade is basically a dude, John Vesely, who is a tattooed emo guy with an acoustic guitar. But you can’t argue with his success and can see what the fuss is about when he tours with Monty Are I beginning March 20 in Los Angeles, and dates include the Bamboozle Festival at the Meadowlands with the likes of My Chemical Romance and Linkin Park. Goth rock icons Type O Negative and their new album, Dead Again, entered the Billboard 200 at #27 and the band sold over 22,000 copies of the album in its first week of release.
