Well, the speculation is over. XM and Sirius satellite radio are going to merge into one company. The name of that company is as yet undetermined, and many feel the merger will meet with various resistance from the FCC and other factions. Well, it was fun while it lasted. Hopefully it will continue to be, but only time till tell.

Does this mean that Opie & Anthony are going to join the Stern show?
Haha, no I’d say the two shows will remain entirely separate. At least if the duo’s appearance on Letterman recently is any indication, that would be my guess.
Definitely. (My question wasn’t a serious one.)
It’s interesting that these two companies decided to merge. I don’t spend enough time in a car to justify satellite radio, but everyone I know who has it, likes it a lot (both companies).
No, I gotcha. Yeah, my iPod takes precedence over my XM in my car most of the time, so I’m often tuned out myself, but it is great for those long trips when I get tired of hearing the pod. When i did have Sirius (this was before Howard came along on there), there were a couple stations I really liked on it, so it will be interesting to see how it all incorporates together.
