YouTube Video Vault: Dandy Warhols, “Not if You Were the Last Junkie on Earth”
I only saw this once on MTV, but I remember it being an absolute hoot. My memory, for once, served me well. Half game show, half ’60s-style dance show in ’90s-style heroin chic dress, this is one for the ages.
Great tune. The Dandy Warhols are an odd band. So good at times (”Bohemian Like You,” “We Used to Be Friends,” “Boys Better,” “TV Theme Song,” “Godless” and this track) and at other times they are completely unlistenable.
Have you seen “DiG”? It chronicles the weird feud between TDW and Brian Jonestown Massacre. Good flick.
I heart the dancing needles and the mime going through withdrawal. Awesome.
