The Kid goes poddy
Posted on 10.23.06 by Jason Thompson @ 11:49 am

Not to toot my own horn…well, all right maybe a little, but not too much…I now have a groovy podcast up and running. It’s called Sniff The Tip (yes the same name as my webspace) and has its first episode up and running if you’d care to check it out. That is all. Move along, now.

    Listening to it now…very cool.

I’m working on my own podcast, but it’s not yet ready for prime time.

Thanks! Yeah, I found podomatic while looking around and signed up for their pro service so I could get the bandwidth and storage space I wanted. I like it so fat. I also bought M-Aduio’s Podcast Factory from Amazon, which isn’t necessary obviously, but I wanted something that was easy to jump into for when I decide to make more of a “show” type episode.

I’ve been using M-Audio Mobile Pre USB and a mic to record voice into Audacity, and mixing it there. It takes a little while to put together an episode (I’m targeting 5 songs, so 20-30 minutes) so I may start looking around for something a bit easier to do the mixing. Let me know how the Podcast Factory goes.
